Real Madrid won the top of the Spanish Premier League football league and defeated its host and traditional rival Barcelona in their own home, 3-1, today.
Federico Valverde scored first for the visitors after five minutes from the start with a shot from inside the penalty area from a private position, but young Ansu Fati reacted quickly three minutes later and equalized for Barcelona when he followed Jordi Alba's cross pass.
Sergio Ramos added a second goal for Real from the penalty spot in the 63rd minute, before Luka Modric took advantage of a gag from goalkeeper Neto to make it 3-1 in the last minute.
This first victory for Real after two consecutive defeats at home to Cadiz in the local league and the Ukrainian Donetsk region in the opening matches of the Champions League.
Real Madrid, the defending champion, rose to 13 points in the lead from six games, while Barcelona remained seven points in tenth place from five matches.
