At the end of a board meeting held today (Monday), Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu decided not to leave the club eventually.
As you may recall, the president considered resigning due to the Catalan government's refusal to cancel the no-confidence vote against him.
The vote is scheduled to take place in early November and as the date currently remains the same, the current management headed by him, has considered resigning today in order not to get into the humiliating situation.
But as stated, after the meeting held in the last few hours, the management decided not to resign.
A number of board members supported the decision to leave, but Bartomeu insisted on waiting for a final answer from the Catalan authorities regarding the possibility of postponing the vote due to the Corona restrictions.
"We will wait for the decision of the authorities. As soon as we receive an answer, another board meeting will take place," Bartomeu said at a press conference tonight.
