Corona has already prevented some running events this year.

Now there are two races - the competitions in Weilheim and Dießen should not be canceled, but will be postponed.

District - The majority of the running events in the region have been canceled this year due to the corona pandemic.

These include the "Gögerl Trail Run" and the Aulauf in Weilheim, the team hour run in Obersöchering and the "Sport Hapfelmeier" run in Polling.

At least two competitions that should have taken place this winter have now been postponed: the “FUBSI” New Year's Eve run and the St. Nicholas run in Dießen.

Both should take place in the spring.

FUBSI New Year's Run: Postponed to March 20, 2021

The organization team announced yesterday morning that the New Year's Eve run of the “Freizeit und Breitensport-Initiative” (FUBSI) planned for December 31st will be postponed.

“Actually, the preparations for the New Year's Eve run are now under way.

Actually - because Corona is changing so much this year ”, so it says in a message.

“Due to known circumstances, we are planning to postpone the FUBSI New Year's Eve 2020 to the coming spring,” says Peter Müller, head of the Weilheim public utility.

The municipal company is hosting the event.

The start and finish area is located on the company premises on the road to Deutenhausen.

From there a circuit leads towards Hardt.

For the fourth edition, held on New Year's Eve 2019, over 250 women and men came;

that meant a record attendance.

The New Year's Eve run is to take place on Saturday, March 20, 2021 - if the conditions allow it.

According to the organizers, the race at the end of the year should then become a “FUBSI-In-den-Frühling-Lauf”.

Otherwise everything should stay as usual - with start and finish at the municipal utilities and the usual distances of 5.5 and 11 kilometers (www.sog-events.de).

If the situation does not improve, it will be canceled in January.

The FUBSI colleagues hope at least "for the next regular New Year's Eve run, then on December 31, 2021. Because fresh air and running are always good."

Johannes Dornhofer (www.sec-sportevents.com) is also relocating the “Nikolauslauf” run by the SEC agency in Dießen.

This event with races over 2.5, 5 and 10 kilometers should also take place in March 2021.

A binding date will be announced.
