Spectacular images, aerial views and heady epic music to accompany in the background.

Like a big American production, Real Madrid unveiled the latest images of the renovation of the Santiago-Bernabeu stadium and the symbolic installation of the first support beam for the future retractable roof of the enclosure by culminating cranes. almost 100 meters high.

The work, which began in the summer of 2018 and which will completely transform the Madrilenians' playground (built in 1947), is making great strides but is still far from being completed.

The stadium should not be delivered until 2023. Real Madrid, which should spend 800 million euros in this renovation, has promised a stadium "avant-garde".

The main innovation will be to cover the 81.00 seat stadium with a roof.

All the seats will be permanently sheltered from the rain, while the retractable structure will only protect the surface of the pitch from bad weather.

The enclosure will also be covered with an envelope of metal strips under which escalators and elevator ramps will be installed, guaranteeing a rounded and more modern design.

Finally, a giant panel visible at 360 degrees from the stands will also be installed under the permanent roof.
