"He who believes is not afraid," the Maccabi Tel Aviv players sang last night in the locker room after their big victory over Sibaspur, which made them the first Israeli team ever to score 6 points out of 6 possible in the European home stage.

The Yellows praised the brakeman Luis Hernandez, who was the standout on the pitch and meanwhile he shows he has no problem getting into the big shoes left by Jair Amador.

Dor Peretz also showed good ability and scored the winning goal and now the Yellows hope to bring that ability to the league as well, where as we know the champion has not yet won this season.

Maccabi, who have made more than 1.1 million euros from the last two victories, estimate that 10 points will be enough for them to qualify for the last 32 stage from second place at home, so on the face of it they should get 4 points in the remaining 4 games.

"We like to break records and if we continue like this it will be possible to get far this season in the Europa League," said Maccabi, where they hope to achieve a victory against Maccabi Haifa in Sami Ofer which will be a "turning point" for them to open the bad season in the league.

The brakeman Eitan Tibi said after the victory: "It was not an easy game because Sibaspur is a very good team. We absorbed a goal while we controlled and we looked good but I am glad we came back very well. There is no doubt that flying home with a victory is the best feeling we can have. "Ourselves for our next game. We have many more challenges and in the Europa League there are 4 more games and another very, very important game against Maccabi Haifa and at the moment our face is just there."

Tibi, yesterday marked his 67th appearance in the European frames in the Maccabi Tel Aviv uniform.

The brake on the way to overtake the record of Yaniv Katan, who holds the record for appearances for an Israeli player in a European setting with the same team, while Katan has 68 European appearances with Maccabi Haifa.

"I am happy for the privilege I have been given to play so many games in the Europa League and I hope it will just continue," said Tibi.

Dor Peretz summed up the victory: "There was a game that started especially hard in the first half. After the goal we wanted to equalize and we went for the whole pot and then came the penalty and the red that opened the game. It is an important victory and a very important comeback for us to continue our way in the Europa League. We have a very important game in the league on Monday. "
