After hundreds of Maccabi Haifa fans bothered and arrived this morning (Saturday) for training in Kfar Galim ahead of the season game against Maccabi Tel Aviv on Monday, the league administration issued an angry response.

"In light of the recent cases in which fans came to the teams' training sessions, a warning was received from the Ministry of Health that the gathering constitutes a violation of regulations, and may lead to the suspension of the games," the official statement said.

"The league's director has appealed to clubs and law enforcement agencies to prevent these gatherings from endangering the crowd itself in the first place."

Erez Kalfon: "I understand the hearts of the fans who want to return to the pitches, meet and encourage their team players, but unfortunately this behavior distances and impairs the principal's efforts to return the fans to the pitches and may even endanger the activity of the football industry.

"The Ministry of Health has warned that such gatherings are forbidden, in training and games and may endanger the continued existence of the games. I urge you to stay indoors and watch the games. Beyond breaking the law and receiving fines, you endanger your health, the health of your families and players. Please act responsibly."
