For a long time it seemed like a compulsory exercise, but FC Bayern passed it.

The record champions won 2-1 (2-0) at 1. FC Köln without shining.

Thomas Müller (hand penalty, 13th) and Serge Gnabry (45th) scored before the break.

Munich started without their top scorer Robert Lewandowski and without Leon Goretzka, both were spared by coach Hans-Dieter Flick.

The lack of both was clearly noticeable in the first half, Bayern played without esprit, the penalty decision after just under fifteen minutes helped them to take the lead.

The Cologne countered well, even without putting Bayern seriously in danger.

With the break whistle, there was already the preliminary decision.

A quick attack on the right side was completed by Gnabry with the second Bayern goal, the Cologne defense made hardly any resistance.

After the change, the game flattened even more, the Cologne team seemed no longer able to do so, the Bavarians no longer wanted properly.

The Cologne goal was all the more surprising in the 82nd minute: Dominick Drexler once again gave FC hope, but it was no longer enough to equalize.

Without their best striker Erling Haaland and without ideas - this is how Borussia Dortmund appeared in the first half against newly promoted Arminia Bielefeld.

In the second half, Mats Hummels redeemed the runner-up with two goals - so BVB won 2-0 (0-0) without a glimpse.

Haaland was not part of the squad after slight knee problems, and the first 45 minutes showed how valuable he is for BVB.

The guests were clearly superior in the field.

However, there was far too little danger of goals.

The structure of the game didn't change much after the change, but the score did: After a corner kick, the ball jumped to Mats Hummels and from his body into the goal.

After that, the Armines acted a little more courageously, but BVB made the next goal again.

Once again it was Hummels who this time had his head on the spot and decided the game 20 minutes before the end.

Played well, but not won: Eintracht Frankfurt gave away a win in a 1-1 (0-0) home game against Werder Bremen.

The hosts had numerous chances to score, Werder used one of the few counterattacks through Josh Sargent for the interim opening goal.

Thanks to André Silva, there was at least one point left for the Frankfurt team.

Eintracht had already met in the first half, but Daichi Kamada was just offside, according to the video referees.

Werder acted extremely withdrawn on the offensive, you can ultimately say in view of the point win: efficient.

After six match days, Bremen are in sixth place with two wins and three draws, which is more positive from the standings than many expected.

In terms of play, the Kohfeldt-Elf was not very convincing on Saturday either, but again at least the result was right in the end.

An overhead kick to lead - Augsburg's Rubén Vargas provided the highlight in the game against FSV Mainz 05. In the 40th minute, he took the ball from the air with his back to the goal and pushed it into the Mainz goal.

In the end, Augsburg had won 3-1 (1-0).

Karim Onisiwo had meanwhile equalized for Mainz (64th), Andre Hahn shot Augsburg to victory (80th and 90th).

Again, the bottom owed a lot offensively, the Augsburg defense largely had a quiet afternoon.

Since the hosts only conjured up real danger in exceptional situations, it was a weak Bundesliga game in Augsburg.

The Mainz team remain without any point and remain at the bottom of the table.

Augsburg can now look up a little more with ten points and even climbed to fourth place in the table for the time being.
