After securing first place at the end of the season, Novak Djokovic recorded one of the most embarrassing losses of his career last night (Friday) when he lost in the quarterfinals of the Vienna tournament to Italian Lorenzo Songo 6: 2, 6: 1 in just 70 minutes.
Djokovic, who secured first place at the end of the season after the win against Churic, put up a terrible tennis and snatched eight aces from his opponent who himself did not believe in that win.

Djokovic, who also suffered a setback in the last Roland Garros final against Rafael Nadal, provided a rather provocative post-match interview and hinted that he did not put too much effort into it: "Securing first place. I'm fine with this loss. I'm healthy and want to finish the season strong in the London tournament."
But Lorenzo Songo is not really interested.
The Italian celebrated a huge victory for him and said after the game: "It is without a doubt the biggest victory of my life. Novak is the best tennis player in the world and I played so well. It is amazing, I played the best tennis of my life."
Songo is the first Italian to beat a world-ranked tennis player since Fabio Ponini defeated Andy Murray in Rome in 2017.
