Maccabi Petah Tikva issued an angry statement: "The Maccabi Petah Tikva club was shocked by Shlomo Sharaf's statement during tonight's broadcast of the game against Hapoel Haifa about the team's player Avdiel Arroyo.
"After this statement, we will not allow Mr. Shlomo Sharaf to enter Maccabi Pet's home games, we will contact Sport 5 to inform them about this and we are also expected to sue Shlomo Sharaf for defamation and racism for this unfortunate statement."
The sports channel said: "An unfortunate statement that has no place in the sports channel."
The league administration also issued a statement of condemnation: "We take Shlomo Sharaf's ugly and racist statement very seriously and we will not go over it in silence. We will work with the concessionaire to carry out a significant disciplinary procedure against him.
Minister of Culture and Sports Hili Trooper: "Facts of racism must be clearly addressed. Shlomo Sharaf's statement is inappropriate and has no place in Israeli sports and society in general. It was true that they practiced Sports 5 when they decided to suspend Sharaf. And one without distinction of religion, race or sex. "
