The game between Gimnasia La Plata and Patronato last night (Saturday) in the Argentine league was supposed to mark a double reason for the party: on the one hand, the game marked the return of Argentine football after long months without games due to the Corona;

Plus, it was supposed to be Diego Maradona's 60th birthday celebration.

Argentina has prepared for Digito, who is currently the coach of the Gymnasium, a showy and special celebration, including a giant doll in his image, fireworks and a ceremony attended by senior local footballers.

But the celebration was ruined pretty quickly, and on the screen were disturbing images: Maradona was seen arriving at the ceremony in serious health, not walking on his own, having difficulty speaking and communicating, perhaps under the influence of cocaine.

Maradona remained during the ceremony in his honor, but left the stadium shortly afterwards without standing on the lines in his team's 0: 3 victory.

Argentina has reported that Maradona's medical condition has deteriorated again, and rumors that he has Alzheimer's have spread again.

Maradona's family and relatives also reacted with concern to the harsh images.

Roccio Oliva, Maradona's ex-partner, watched the ceremony in Maradona's honor and was appalled by his condition.

"Diego does not look well. I pray he will feel well and be healthy," she told Argentine television in tears.

"I've not seen Diego lately, and seeing him now made me feel bad. I prefer the 59th birthday Diego, who sang, danced and looked smiling. Diego is a very strong man, and I'm sure that if he helps himself, he can feel better. He too. "I want to go back to being Diego who travels the world, with his huge smile, with his childish playfulness. All of Argentina misses this Diego."
