Somewhere in the 2009 draft, Sacramento made history when it selected Omri Caspi in the 23rd round in the first round - making him the first Israeli in the best league in the world.
11 years later, will history repeat itself?
Although the Kings have the 12th pick in the draft, there is not a high enough choice to win the services of Danny Abdia who is mentioned as a top five pick, but like quite a few teams, she is also reportedly interested in the possibility of a trade that will give her a higher choice.
Tonight (Sunday through Monday) the Kings posted what could be interpreted as a hint - when they shared on Twitter account two posts about Abdia.
"Abdia is considered one of the best Israelis in the game, and he is already ready for the big stage," they wrote, adding a variety of trivia facts about the Israeli.

Blogger Johnny Carver even compared Abdia to Caspi, writing that "in terms of physical data, they are very similar - they have the same height, the same arm, the same athleticism. Before Caspi came to the league, he looked like a better scorer and a more prepared player. "On the other hand, Abdia's potential is much higher," he wrote, "but for now, it is not unreasonable to assume that Abdia will not have a good NBA career like Caspi's, unless he catches the gaps in everything. It has to do with shooting. "
In the same article, Abdia received another comparison to a player known in our provinces - Dragon Bender.
"Like Bender, Abdia also has a large part of the hype built around the abilities he showed at the European FIFA European Championships for young people.
Statistically, when they got to the NBA they were in a similar place - which means it's not unreasonable to think that Danny would turn out to be a flop just like Bender turned out.
Abdia has quite a few advantages over Bender.
He is a better athlete, better morale, and shows a marked improvement in marksmanship.
He is probably a greater talent than Bender, but the similarities are large enough for the comparison between them to be legitimate. "
