Two weeks and a day remain until the 2020 draft. In the new forecast published today (Wednesday) in The Ringer, journalist Kevin O'Connor estimated that Danny Abdia would be selected in fourth place, by Chicago.
In the past, Oknor predicted that Golden State would take the Israeli in the second election, but now he is actually matching center James Weissman to the Warriors.
"If Amello Ball is still on the board, expect Chicago phones to ring and there will be teams like New York, Detroit and a few others looking for a playmaker," O'Connor wrote.
The Bulls may take the ball, too, but a number of sources have told me in the past week that they hear that Abdia could be the playmaker the Bulls crave. That would certainly make sense. "The talent he has right now in Chicago. He's smart and always plays with a winning mentality. If his shooting improves, he could turn out to be the best player in the draft."

According to "Athletic", there is a lot of talk about Abdia's training for Golden State, but the Warriors are not the only ones who got to watch him closely.
Atlanta, Detroit, Cleveland, San Antonio and even Milwaukee have spoken with the young Israeli, with the first three reportedly the biggest suitors after the Israeli, given that they will all be in the top 10 (Cleveland 5, Atlanta 6, Detroit 7).
San Antonio will pick 11, and the Bucks only 24.
Golden State, it was written, is the preferred destination for Abdia, if one had to choose.
