From there he was transferred to Olives Medical Center, and on Tuesday at 20:00 (Argentina time) began the medical procedure which lasted about 80 minutes.
Outside the hospital, Hymnsia fans and other supporters gathered to pray for the medicine of the football legend, calling out his name.
As stated at the successful completion of the surgery, his personal doctor updated said that now Diego will remain under supervision, and the whole situation is under control.
