RB Leipzig achieved a narrow home win in the Champions League.

Against the weakened French champions Paris Saint-Germain, the third place in the Bundesliga won 2: 1 (1: 1).

In the German coaching duel between Julian Nagelsmann and Thomas Tuchel, Ángel Di María scored an early goal (6th minute), Christopher Nkunku equalized (40th), and Emil Forsberg made the decision with a penalty (57th).

Last season, Paris proved to be too strong for RB, at that time Leipzig lost 3-0 in the Champions League semifinals.

The game had not picked up speed when Dayot Upamecano made a serious mistake in the build-up game.

The RB central defender overlooked the lurking Moise Kean, who stuck to Angel di María, and the winger spiked the ball past Gulacsi into the far left corner (6th).

A little later it was Upamecano again who acted unhappy.

After a shot by Kean, the ball bounced on his hand, which resulted in a penalty.

Gulacsi had suspected that the Sagittarius di Maria would choose the right corner - he stopped (16.).

Even in the aftermath, the Leipzig offensively found no means against heavily thinned guests.

PSG missed Neymar and Kilian Mbappé due to injury, as well as the two national players Julian Draxler and Thilo Kehrer.

Offside, offside, equalization

In Leipzig's defensive the inadequacies accumulated.

After a long pass from Sarabia, Di Maria ran up to RB keeper Gulacsi alone and lobbed it, but the Argentine was previously offside.

A little later, Nordi Mukiele also made a bad pass.

Kean reacted fastest after Sarabia's shot and pushed the ball into the goal.

This time, however, both PSG players, Kean and Sarabia, were sidelined.

Before the break, Leipzig's Nkunku scored the flattering equalizer (40th).

After Angeliño put it down, the deflected shot found its way into the left corner from just under 20 meters.

The second half also started eventfully: Presner Kimbembe took the ball down with his right arm, which is why the referee again decided on a hand penalty.

Forsberg's shot in the left corner was too placed for Keylor Navas (56th).

Leipzig benefited from the fact that Idrissa Gueye saw yellow-red for a foul on Amadou Haidara and the guests were subsequently unable to create any chances.

Shortly before the end of the game, Kimpembe also got yellow-red after a foul on Yussuf Poulsen.

Leipzig and PSG did not start this Champions League season optimally, both had lost their first legs against Manchester United.

The English big club leads the table of group H after three games.

United had surprisingly lost their game against Turkish champions Basaksehir 1: 2 (1: 2) earlier in the evening.

The win against PSG gave the Leipzigers a good starting point for reaching the knockout phase.

Behind the Bundesliga club with six points, PSG and Basaksehir follow with three each.

Thanks to the third win in the third game, FC Barcelona continue to lead Group G.

Against Dynamo Kiev it was Lionel Messi who gave the Spaniards an early lead with a penalty (5th).

Central defender Gerard Piqué had moved up and headed in from close range (65th).

Viktor Tsygankov scored the next goal (75th).

Barcelona's final man ter Stegen shone with several great opportunities and held the victory.

FC Chelsea were awarded two penalties, which the German international Timo Werner converted (10th, 41st minute).

Before half-time, Dalbert also saw a yellow-red from the German referee Felix Zwayer, which is why the game was decided early.

Another goal for the Blues was scored by Tammy Abraham (51).
