Maccabi Tel Aviv returns to the Euroleague after easily qualifying for the Winner's Cup final on Sunday, and tonight (Thursday) meets Anadolu Efes in Istanbul.
Both teams started the season badly, each holding a negative balance, with the Yellows winning two games and losing four, while Argin Atman's team also won twice and recorded three losses.
In addition, Anadolu is suffering from a contagious plague in Corona, including stars Shane Larkin - who only returned last season after a long absence due to injury - and the top of the Euroleague blocks, Bryant Dunston.
Also missing will be chin Saratak Sanli, and Yannis Sapropoulos' team are hoping to take advantage of the setbacks in the rivalry and avoid a second straight loss in the Euroleague, following the home loss in the previous round to Fenerbahce.
