Samuel Eto'o, one of the greatest African footballers of all time, was involved yesterday (Sunday) in a serious car accident near Duala, his hometown in Cameroon.
According to reports in the hometown of 39-year-old Eto'o, he was hospitalized with a minor head injury, fully conscious and in good condition.
Eto'o was returning from a family member's wedding when his car suddenly collided with a bus under unclear circumstances.
In the photos from the scene of the incident, the front of Eto's vehicle was smashed, but the rear of the vehicle remained intact.
According to the BBC, there were no casualties as a result of the accident, however several people were injured to varying degrees and had to receive hospital treatment.
Eto'o spoke to reporters this morning to make it clear that he is in good health and has not suffered any serious injuries.

Eto'o retired last year after a long and glorious career.
He has played for Real Madrid, Barcelona, Inter and Chelsea, among others, winning the Champions League three times and an Olympic medal with the Cameroon team.
