EC Peiting takes first win of the season - and in a furious manner

Breathe a sigh of relief at EC Peiting: The first win of the season is wrapped up.

The team was only behind against Höchstadt - and even won double-digit in the end.

Peiting - Peiting - A full 13 minutes were left to play, but Peiting's coach Sebastian Buchwieser was already standing behind the bench with a relaxed smile.

At that point, his team was leading by eight goals.

In the end, the EC Peiting won the home game on Tuesday evening in the Oberliga against the Höchstadter EC with 13: 3.

It was the first win of the season for Upper Bavaria.

Before the start, Buchwieser had rearranged the attack lines quite a bit.

Unlike in the previous games, Peiting started with a lot of effort.

The Höchstadter showed a good playing structure and were overweight.

Florian Hechenrieder in the ECP gate had to intervene to save several times.

He had no chance when the "Alligators" hit the lead by the free-standing Manuel Nix after a faceoff (6th).

As a result, Höchstadt had more of the game, with a huge chance ECP player Andreas Feuerecker saved with his hand just before the goal line (14th).

Nardo Nagtzaam finished a nice individual action with the rather surprising 1: 1 (15th) - now Peiting was better in the game.

And then once again Martin Hlozek showed his offensive qualities: He picked up a pass from Daniel Reichert and cleverly flicked the puck into the net with his backhand for a 2-1 lead (18th).

EC Peiting: Tough start and a 0-1 deficit

From the ECP's point of view, the middle third started furiously: 28 seconds had been played when Alexander Winkler scored 3: 1 with a long-range shot.

Also with one shot - exactly in the corner - Martin Mazanec increased to 4: 1 (24th).

Just 16 seconds later, Aziz Ehliz scored to 5-1 (24th).

The Höchstadter took a break - and came in the first power play of the evening to the second goal.

Jari Neugebauer scored with luck because the puck hit the goal from Hechenrieder's skate from an acute angle (26th).

However, this could not impress the Peitinger.

EC Peiting: Furious start in the middle third and two goals within 16 seconds

Hlozek failed after a great Nagtzaam pass (30th), a little later the completely uncovered Nagtzaam scored 6: 2 (30th).

Two minutes later, the Peitinger were outnumbered for the first time - and struck straight away: Andreas Gohlke scored after a good combination to 7-2 (32nd).

After that, the home side even performed magic: Simon Maier scored 8: 2 (37th) after a nice one-two with Ehliz.

At the third Höchstadter goal, Mazanec unluckily steered the target into their own net (38th).

But it didn't matter: Maier increased to 9: 3 (39th) after a break in the minority.

In the final third, Höchstadt changed the goalkeeper.

Filip Rieger couldn't prevent it from going into double digits either.

Manuel Bartsch scored - well played - with a concealed shot to make it 10: 3 (46th).

Ehliz completed a wonderful combination over four stations with the 11: 3 (47th).

The "Alligators" still defended themselves, they didn't get more than two hits on the post.

In view of the clear situation, both teams no longer went to work with ultimate consistency.

There were still two goals from Peitingen: Pius Seitz scored with the backhand (51st), Thomas Heger scored after handling the puck well (58th).
