Thuram, while relaxed
For his very first selection for the France team,
Marcus Thuram did not seem contracted
and entered full of envy in his match.
Striking on his left flank, willingly looking for Pogba or Ben Yedder for short stints, he got four great opportunities in the first period, including one from a corner during which he found the bar (15th).
Still so strong-willed after the break, he sought to create breaches but in the end seemed powerless, like his partners.
Valakari, the Finnish promise
He is only 21 years old but represents the future of Finland.
For his first selection, Onni Valakari did a lot, moreover against the world champions.
The one who plays in the Cypriot club of Paphos was very agitated on the Finnish counters.
This left-hander made the Blues bend over a curled strike wonder which allowed his Nation to lead 2-0 at the Stade de France.
Dangerous also during the transition phases, he was the executioner of the French.
Worthy, still efficient
In form with his club Everton, Lucas Digne also confirms his good dispositions in Blue.
In line with his last national outings, the left side offered a lot of solutions, getting along well with Thuram with whom he combined well.
He has, moreover, multiplied the good crosses on his side.

A match to forget for the Blues
Stuck between the matches played by club players and an important meeting in Portugal next Saturday,
this France-Finland
(match initially scheduled for last March) is definitely to be forgotten for the Blues outside therefore.
If they started well in the intentions, thanks in particular to the nerve of Marcus Thuram, they generally lacked inspiration, with too many actions and telephone combinations.
Stumbling against the solid defense of Finland, the Habs are logically inclined.
Sissoko, the fatal error
Aligned right midfielder, the tricolor midfielder proposed solutions whether in the feet or in the depth.
But defensively, he sometimes found himself in difficulty as on this lost ball in his own camp which brought the first Finnish goal.
He made other faults which provoked opposing free kicks and we did not see his usual percussion force.
Pogba, still in the running-in phase
Where has the talented Pogba gone and the author of shattering entries, both in selection (in Croatia last month) and in club?
Regularly benched at Manchester United, the tricolor midfielder was a good start against Finland.
But if he tried to ventilate the French game with crosses or bell passes, he experienced quite unusual waste in his game. Lacking influence, he ended up giving up his place.
Deschamps seems to have wanted to preserve it so that it gives, hopefully, its full measure in Portugal in three days.
