FC Barcelona are claiming from the Brazilian striker of Paris Saint-Germain Neymar 10.2 million euros which were allegedly granted to him in error.
The information comes from the newspaper El Mundo on Wednesday, close to the management of the Catalan club which often uses this channel to broadcast its messages.
The dispute is based on the fact that the Catalan club did not declare as much tax as it should have done on Neymar's income when he was a player at Barcelona, where he played between 2013 and 2017, According to Barça sources interviewed by AFP, Messi's club thus confirming the news.
According to information published on Wednesday by the newspaper El Mundo, Barça "did not make the appropriate deductions when paying Neymar's taxes", covering the year 2015. The Spanish tax authorities therefore believe that Neymar would have " benefited from unjustified enrichment ”because the Brazilian ended up collecting the money that was not paid in taxes.
According to the newspaper, the tax office has warned the club that if this amount is not regularized, it will be considered as a donation made by the club in favor of the Seleção star.
The largest debtor in the Spanish Treasury
Even if in this case, the claim concerns FC Barcelona and not Neymar, the latter is one of the people who owes the most money to the Spanish Treasury.
On the strength of the list of the main debtors of the Kingdom's Tax Agency published at the end of September, the Brazilian, with an amount of 34.6 million euros, is the person currently with the largest debt accumulated with the Spanish Treasury.
The player is currently with his selection in Brazil.
Neither he nor his entourage reacted to information from the Spanish press.

Since the Brazilian's departure for PSG in the summer of 2017, the two parties have continued to engage in a tough legal battle, regardless of the player's desire to return to Catalonia, particularly expressed in the summer of 2019. The Spanish justice had for example, ruled in favor last June at the Catalan club in one of the many financial battles between him and his ex-player, condemning him to pay 6.7 million euros to Barcelona.
