Former soccer player Diego Armando Maradona has left the hospital this Wednesday after receiving medical discharge.

The Argentine was admitted on November 2 for a "low mood" and had to undergo surgery a few hours later for a cerebral edema.

Maradona, 60 years old and current Gymnastics and Fencing coach, had been at the Olivos clinic since the operation due to "an abstinence condition" that began during his stay in the hospital, according to his personal doctor, Leopoldo Luque.

"Maradona has signed the discharge," said Luque this Wednesday before the Argentine left the clinic.

Shortly before, the doctor had published a photo with the ex-footballer on his Instagram account.

“It comes out very soon.

Greetings to all Maradonians ”, he told the group of journalists who were waiting at the door of the sanatorium.

Maradona will continue the rehabilitation in a house, probably in the town of Tigre, 30 kilometers north of Buenos Aires.

"The most important thing at this time, beyond medical supervision, is to have the family present permanently, with the children, who are completely in agreement with what we are proposing, permanently accompanying their father and with many The desire to get ahead ”, had announced Luque, who was the one who operated on the star.

Maradona's lawyer and agent, Matías Morla, assured this morning that his client and friend “had perhaps the hardest moment of his life” and that “it was a miracle that this spill was detected in his head that could have taken his life ”.

“The good thing is that Diego is whole, he is firm, there is Maradona for a while.

What is needed now is a family union and being surrounded by health professionals.

And Diego is going to be with the doctors and the family as he should be, that Diego has to be happy and we have to return together the love and happiness that he gave us ”, he highlighted.
