Former Israel and Chelsea national team coach Avraham Grant has agreed to work with the UAE Football Association after talks with its leaders, media reports in the principality.
Grant met with the Princess' football secretary, Side Sword, where the two sides set up a collaborative process of sharing ideas for raising football in the country from the Gulf.
Grant began his coaching career at the age of 18 as the youth coach of Hapoel Petah Tikva before advancing to the position of head coach at Maccabi Tel Aviv and Maccabi Haifa.
He later coached the Israeli national team from 2002 to 2006, when in 2007 he was surprisingly appointed Chelsea's professional manager.
He was later appointed head coach following the dismissal of Jose Mourinho and led the Blues to the Champions League final, where he lost to Manchester United.
He later worked at Portsmouth, West Ham and Partizan Belgrade where he had no significant success.
Also in recent years he has served as a professional manager in Thailand, as the coach of the Ghana national team that led to the semi-finals of the 2017 African Cup of Nations and his most recent role was as a consultant for the Northeast United team in India.
