Sergei Kalashchenko, a former Moldavian player who is considered one of the favorite foreigners who came to Israel, played in Israel in three different teams - Maccabi Haifa, Hapoel Tel Aviv and Bnei Yehuda, and signed some particularly memorable moments.
In an interview he gave to one of the media outlets in Russia, he recalled the time he spent in Israel.
"I remember that Maccabi Haifa fans carried my car with me when I was inside," Kalashchenko recalled.
"They just picked up the car while I was sitting in it and dragged it about 20 meters. It happened after I scored a winning goal against Hapoel. It was just crazy."
"Yossi Benyon? We collaborated with Maccabi Haifa for two years," the striker said when asked about his relationship with the past.
"I will never forget how Yossi, together with another striker named Rafi Cohen, won without a break, but even that did not help us finish in first place."
