Muhammad Salah, who is with the Egyptian national team and is training with them ahead of the African Championship qualifier against Togo tomorrow (Saturday), is positive for Corona.
The English champions have lost quite a few players this season due to various injuries, when only last week, they lost Joe Gomez who was seriously injured and will now have to make do without one of its outstanding conquerors.
The Egyptian association said that Salah did not suffer from symptoms, and that the other players of the Egyptian national team who were tested were found to be negative for the virus.
"The tests were conducted before our first international mission," read a statement issued by the Egyptian Football Association.
"The results showed that Muhammad Salah contracted Corona after his test came back positive. However, he does not suffer from symptoms of the virus. The test results of the other team players came back with a negative answer."

Muhammad Salah made 11 appearances for Liverpool this season in all competitions during which he scored 10 goals.
In the Premier League he has scored eight goals in eight games and he shares the top of the league's conquest table along with Jung Min Sung from Tottenham, Jamie Vardy Malster and Dominic Culver-Loin from Everton.
