Last week it was announced that Avraham Grant, the former coach of the Israeli national team, was in the United Arab Emirates and met with Said Harb, secretary general of the local football association and discussed with him the ways to improve football in the princesses. The Ghana national team and, of course, Chelsea, currently lectures at prominent universities, including New York, in an interview during his stay with the National, he spoke about his meeting and his aspirations for the future.
"I have the same answer all the time, that I come to a football team. I have long-term plans, short-term plans. I can not say what will happen in my next role," Grant said. "I did not know that football would lead me to England, Ghana, Thailand. "For several months, India, Serbia and I am happy about it. At the moment I enjoy using my experience and giving advice to people and lecturing on football that people do not know from the inside," he added.
When asked why he wants to return to the pitches he said: "I miss the competition, the stress and the work during the week, the activities with a team, these things have been a part of my life. The passion you see in a football team can not be seen anywhere else including fans and staff. "You always have to know how to behave when you succeed and you also have to know how to recover. That's what I try to convey to people around the world with whom I talk about the profession."
On the chance to be trusted in the UAE: "Two years ago I was asked if I would be willing to coach there because of the political side and I said yes. My mother came from Iraq. Then they asked me if I would be willing to coach in Iraq and I said yes for free because of family ties. "Take part in adventures. Like other places I have been, the UAE is an interesting place and could be a special project for me. They invest a lot and it is an amazing place."
