Comments of Maccabi Tel Aviv after Zalgiris Kaunas (Danny Maron)

The sixth round games in the Premier League will close tomorrow (Monday, 21:00, live broadcast on Sport 5) in a game in which Maccabi Tel Aviv will host Hapoel Haifa.

This is the first game in the Premier League between the teams since 2000, with the overall balance standing at 7:65 in favor of the Yellows.

The Reds' only away win over Maccabi Tel Aviv was achieved in April 69, when Shmuel Avishar led the Reds with 25 points.

The two teams have already met in the quarterfinals of the Winner's Cup, when Maccabi Tel Aviv won, and are expected to meet again in the eighth finals of the State Cup next month.

Maccabi Tel Aviv is coming to the game after a difficult week.

It began with an extra-time victory over Bnei Herzliya, continued with a defeat against Real Madrid away on Wednesday and ended with a dramatic and Shlomieli loss against Valencia in the closing seconds.

Omri Caspi signed up for the game, but the decision whether to participate will be made only before the game.

Elijah Bryant, Tyler Dorsey and Chris Jones off the roster.

Captain John Dibertolomeo will return to the squad and is due to make his debut minutes for the first time since December 2019. The Yellows returned to Israel on Saturday and will hold the concluding training session today, with the club wanting to get through the game as smoothly as possible.

Hapoel Haifa were disappointed with the players' ability in the middle of the week against Hapoel Eilat, a game in which the Reds trailed along most of its parts.

The club knows that the excellent start to the season, which included three victories from three games, does not guarantee anything for the rest of the way, and if the players show defensive ability as in the game against Eilat, the chances of continuing to be a surprise this season are not high.

The one who does not gain the trust of coach Elad Hussein in the meantime is Ziv Ben Zvi who gets 9.5 minutes per game and returns with 2.3 points per game.
