Eran Zehavi is still having a hard time delivering the goods in the Dutch league.
The Israeli striker remained last night (Sunday) on the balance of a single goal in the local frame, after missing Pendel in the disappointing 1: 1 of PSV Eindhoven with Twente.
The Dutch media did not spare Zahavi after the game, and alongside criticism of the "soloist" style of play he displayed and the misses he recorded, pointed to another failure: his repeated attempts to score even in situations where he could have delivered.
The Algemeen Dagblad website gave Zahavi a score of 4 for the ability he displayed in the game - the lowest score among PSV players.
"Zahavi really wants to conquer, but he seems to be focused on his numbers. He needs to show improved ability," they noted.
At the end of the game, PSV hinted at a lack of paragon among the team's attacking players.
"We had to decide this game before the half-time whistle," coach Roger Schmidt said. "Not everyone was 100 percent fit for us, but that's not an excuse. Our players already know each other well enough to show good attacking ability. "Maybe we lack a little paragon."
