The management of Al-Wahda Club signed a contract with Cham Wings Airlines to provide for the company's sponsorship of the first football team in its local and Asian benefits.

The commercial director of Sham Wings Company, Nizar Suleiman, said in a statement to the representative of Sana Sports, "According to the sponsorship contract, the company will be the official sponsor of the Al-Wahda football team for a full season and the only carrier for it in its upcoming local and Asian matches, in addition to providing the necessary equipment and clothes for the team."

Suleiman pointed out that Al-Wehda Club is one of the oldest sports clubs in Syria and enjoys a wide audience, and the company's sponsorship comes as part of its plan to sponsor Syrian sports, especially football clubs, as the company had previously signed an agreement to sponsor the Army Sports Club, which stipulates its sponsorship of the team in its local and Asian matches as well.

For his part, Al-Wahda club president Maher Al-Sayed considered that the sponsorship of Cham Wings Company for the first football team is an important step in the framework of the development of sports, pointing out that supporting football in Syria from economic activities and companies helps it to move forward in its sports career and expressing his hope that it will include sponsoring these companies During the coming period other games have remarkable achievements.

For his part, Al-Wahda club player Moayad Ajjan expressed his happiness with the sponsorship agreement for the football team “because it contributes to supporting the team’s march in its upcoming benefits,” hoping at the same time that this sponsorship would be a step that encourages the rest of the companies to take care of the rest of the clubs.

It is noteworthy that Al-Wehda won the Football Republic Cup last season and for the eighth time in its history, after its victory over Al-Majd by three goals to one in the final match of the fifty-second edition of the tournament.
