Summary: The best performance of Diego Armando Maradona (Sport 1)

Jorge Billardo, the brother of the coach of the great Argentina national team that won the 1986 World Cup in Mexico Carlos Billardo, revealed tonight (Wednesday) that the coach's family turned off all televisions at home and claimed to the 82-year-old former coach that it was a cable malfunction.

"We did not want him to find out about Diego's death because he loved him very much and we knew that the news of his death would hurt him greatly," explained Carlos' brother, who suffers from an illness that causes him, among other things, memory loss.

"Diego Maradona was the son Carlos never had," Jorge testified and praised the star of the team his brother coached from 1983-1990.

"When my brother informed Maradona that he was going to be the captain of the team, Diego cried happily. When we then wanted to raise money for a boy who was to undergo surgery in the United States, we asked Maradona if he could help and participate in a showcase game, and he just asked 'when should he be there?'

The stadium was full and we raised all the money we needed. "
