Borussia Mönchengladbach beat his rival Shakhtar Donetsk 4-0 to remain at the top of Group Two in the European Champions League today.
Lars Stindel scored the first goal from the penalty spot in the 17th minute, and Niko Ilvedi boosted the score in the 34th minute, before his Swiss compatriot Empolo added the third goal from a free kick in stoppage time in the first half.
The home team saved their effort in the second half, but added a fourth goal, through Oscar Wendt, in the 77th minute.
Munchen Gladbach leads the group with eight points and will meet Inter Milan in the next round before concluding his campaign against Real Madrid.
