The Syrian men's basketball team landed in the Qatari capital, Doha, after a long camp in the Russian city of Kazan, in preparation for their Qatari counterpart next Saturday in the second window of the Asian qualifiers.
Our team ended its preparatory camp in Russia, which lasted for three weeks, under the supervision of American coach Joseph Salerno, in preparation for the second window in the qualifiers for the Asian finals, during which Qatar and Iran will meet on the 28th of this month.
Our team played four test matches during the camp, defeating the Volga Academy team twice with a score of 89-81 points and 101-91 points, the Sam Kazan team 81-66 points and the Russian UNIX reserve with a score of 91-59 points.
Our team’s mission obtained the results of the “PCR” examination that was conducted for all cadres, players, administrators and technicians. All samples came out negative, confirming the team’s readiness to compete with full rows.
