Diego Maradona's lawyer, Mathias Morella, is demanding an investigation into the death of the Argentine legend.
"There was no response for 12 hours and it took the ambulance half an hour to arrive," he told the media.
Maradona died of a heart attack yesterday (Wednesday) and one of the people closest to him claims that it is an 'unexplained crime'.
"Today is a day of deep sorrow, sadness and contemplation. I feel in my heart the loss of a friend whom I have faithfully honored until the last day. I have personally congratulated him, I think the funeral must be an intimate moment. According to the district prosecutor Diego had no attention from the medical staff, "Morella said.
He added: "It took the ambulance more than half an hour to arrive, it was an idiotic crime, this fact must not be hidden and I ask that an investigation be opened."
