He sees many problems facing the clubs.

- "Schod, really schod" thinks the Freising BLSV district chairman Florian Warmuth that the sport was not even mentioned in the Corona decisions on Wednesday.

“For me, sport is part of the solution.

All the advantages, such as strengthening the immune system and the musculoskeletal system, plus the social factor - I believe that this will be a problem if we only focus on the economy and schools. "The BLSV, the Bavarian State Sports Association, With around 4.5 million members, politicians recently vehemently called on the closure of indoor sports facilities to be reconsidered.

In a media release earlier this week, the association predicts a dramatic drop in membership of more than 100,000 athletes for 2020. For the coming year, around 65,000 members have already noted their resignation in the Bavarian sports clubs.

Mr. Warmuth, fewer members mean fewer contributions.

Are you afraid of financial problems for the clubs?

Although I cannot see any significantly increased exit numbers for the Freising district at the moment, I do believe that the sports clubs will face financial problems.

This applies first and foremost to those who, for example, generate the majority of their income from renting their own tennis hall.

Due to the closure of the sports facilities, subscription fees must be reimbursed.

Most other clubs often have only a few running costs when there is no training or match.

There is no need to pay a trainer and usually only a small rent - and that will certainly make it longer.

If, however, I have a lot of people leaving my association, not only do the contributions fall, but also the state subsidies in the form of the association's flat rate.

In addition to the number of members, trainer licenses also play a role in the association fee.

Is there a threat of trouble?

The two factors for calculating the association fee are the number of members, separated into youth and adults, and the reported trainer licenses.

However, these licenses can expire and must be extended through regular participation in training courses.

That was made more difficult this year by Corona.

For this reason, the BLSV and the Bavarian Football Association have extended the trainer's licenses, which will expire in 2020, by one year for the licenses it issued directly.

Other associations could follow this example, even if it involves a little effort.

National leagues, European and world championships are canceled - and so there is no stage for the characters to identify with.

There is an extra Corona funding program for professional sports.

Is there also one for popular sport?

In my opinion, we currently have an imbalance.

Professional sport is supported with millions, and there are no specific corona funding programs for the base.

Only the doubling of the association fee for 2020 was distributed as immediate corona aid.

In spring, the BLSV roughly determined in a digital survey that there would be a risk of around 200 million cancellations in popular sport by the end of the year.

However, this information has not yet led to any aid package for amateur sports.

According to the BLSV, many young people are leaving.

Is that also to be feared with us?

I believe that even with us in the youth sector, entire age groups will break away.

Especially in indoor sports, which already have to fight for every young athlete, a training and competition break of six or nine months is dramatic.

In addition, the role models are missing.

Apart from football, there is hardly any sport left in the media.

National leagues, European and world championships are canceled - and so there is no stage for the characters to identify with.

The motivation is also gone at some point if, as a young athlete, I am not allowed to train or compete for a year.

Some have been affected by this since March, and that will not change in 2020.

I don't know whether indoor sports will be possible again from January or February, but I can't imagine it at the moment.
