Roger Schmidt tries to calm the spirits.
After receiving strong criticism from the Dutch media, Eran Zehavi received backing and warm words today (Thursday) from PSV coach Eindhoven.
As you may recall, the Israeli striker missed Pendel at the beginning of the week in a 1-1 draw against Twente in the league and in the media, the routine criticism was leveled at overzealousness and the lack of integration of Zehavi in the new team.
"Zehavi did not play for a while after he came to us," explained Schmidt, who was the dominant factor in bringing Zehavi, "We were on many trips. He flew a lot, and represented his team and also had to deal with Corona."
The coach added: "We know what he is capable of and I am convinced he can do the same in Eindhoven. I know their hair is still far from its peak, but we all know why he is capable."
On Eindhoven's collaboration on the edge, Schmidt added: "There is no doubt that our decision-making on offense is flawed. We have players who are used to being the last stop on every attack and need to be given time to feel the team.
