Argentinian football icon Diego Maradona was buried at around 8:00 p.m. (11:00 p.m. GMT) on Thursday in a private family ceremony in a Buenos Aires cemetery, after a day when thousands of fans gave him their last tribute, according to the images of Argentine television.
The hearse carrying the coffin covered with the Argentine flag had left the presidential palace at the end of the day, greeted by thousands of people along the roads before the coffin was buried in a family vault.
