"We were in Argentina, after a show," Liam said in 2017, in his cursed language.
"We're sitting at the bar, sipping a fucking drink. Sting was sitting at the bar crying because they broke in and stole things from his fucking room. Suddenly 30 people galloped inside, we realized it was Maradona. him?'
And the interpreter said, 'Okay, okay, let me check with them.
' He went upstairs, came back downstairs and said, 'Only the Gallagher brothers can go up.'
We flew upstairs and there was a lot of activity there, and Maradona in the middle of the room, doing football tricks with a bottle cap.
His eyes were fucking closed, a bit like ours, and I said, 'The mood is a little tough here, let's get a quick picture and get out of here.
He was sweating from the eggs.
We turned to the interpreter and he said, 'He told me to tell you - if you leave with one of these prostitutes, he will make sure you are shot.'

The Gallagher brothers are considered big football fans and ardent fans of Manchester City.
Last night Liam paid tribute to the former star and wrote on social media: "I met Maradona not once but twice and he was the real thing, scary but beautiful. A real rock and roll footballer. No one will ever be as great as him."
Noel Safed, too, with the same picture, below it wrote: "Buenos Aires, 1997. What a life. What a legend (he was under house arrest at the time)."
