Boca Juniors' 0: 2 Summary over Newell's (Sports 1)
Tributes to Diego Maradona come from all over the world, but it turns out that not everyone is interested in honoring the memory of one of the greatest footballers of all time.
Paula Daphne, a 24-year-old Spanish footballer, decided to sit on the lawn while the rest of her teammates stood for a minute of silence in memory of the former Argentine star, in protest of Maradona's behavior.
"As soon as I heard about this gesture, I decided not to attend a minute of silence in memory of a rapist, pedophile and abuser," explained a Vyaches team player.
Maradona has previously faced a number of sexual assault charges, including that of a journalist named Ekaterina Nedolska who was allegedly raped by him in 2017, but the former actor has never been convicted.

"A minute of silence should be for the victims and not the abusers," Daphne added.
"He was a player with rare football skills, but to be a player, you need more values beyond skills."
Daphne is the only player who protested in the game against Deportivo Avenca (who won 0:10, by the way), but according to her, the coach of the opposing team actually agreed with her.
"My teammates looked at me and laughed because they didn't think I would do it," she said.
"A few days ago was the day of violence against women. I decided to refuse the minute of silence in his memory, I sat on the grass and turned my back. He must not be forgiven for all the atrocities he committed."
