Congratulations, Tomer Hemed has found a new home.
The 33-year-old former Israeli national team striker signed tonight (Sunday to Monday) for one season at Wellington Phoenix from New Zealand, which plays in the Australian League.
Hemed began his European career in Spanish Mallorca in 2011, and wore media for three seasons and scored 21 goals.
His next stop was Almeria, and at the end of that season he was relegated with them to the Second Division.
He was then sold to the British Isles and signed with Brighton for about 1.5 million euros.
The former national team striker qualified with the team for the Premier League and also made several appearances in the best league in the world, before being loaned to Queens Park Rangers in the summer of 2018. Last season, after returning to Brighton, he was loaned to Charlton and left no mark. In the summer, Hemed became a free agent and, as mentioned, signed for one season at the surprising destination in the far continent.
