José Anigo case: agent Jean-Luc Barresi defends himself

The players' agent Jean-Luc Barresi, known to be close to organized crime in Marseille, is imprisoned in a case linked to José Anigo and the

Everything is accelerating for Isaac Lihadji.

Arrived in Lille last summer, where he signed his first professional contract, the 18-year-old right-winger celebrated his first start in Ligue 1 on Sunday, two weeks after celebrating his first two selections for the France Espoirs team.

Even if it has nothing to do with it, the former resident of the OM training center has also made, since the beginning of the fall, a sensational entry into the legal field.

This takes place in Marseille, his city of birth, where an investigation was opened of the counts of extortion in organized gangs and criminal associations with a view to preparing a crime.

At the heart of this tortuous affair, there is first, last spring, the promise of a commission reserved for the agent of Isaac Lihadji.

According to the elements of the investigation, Moussa Sissoko, agent not recognized by the FFF but well established in several clubs of L1, is then preparing to receive a sum of between 1 and 1.5 million euros, paid by the club northerner.

Before "ventilating" it in several directions.

After having incubated Lihadji since childhood, Nabil H. must receive his share.

Just like Christian B., 59, manager of a famous nightclub in Aix-en-Provence, familiar with OM youth teams and close to the player.

The godfather of the Phocaean city involved?

José Anigo also appears in the landscape.

After closely following Lihadji's first steps in the Marseille club, the former coach and sports director of OM considers that he deserves at least a dismissal of the elevator from Christian B., of whom he is a cousin by alliance.

At the same time, the police from the brigade for the repression of banditry (BRB) are monitoring a team of Marseille thugs.

They are in their thirties from the Capelette district.

They too are very interested in the future of Isaac Lihadji.

Some eavesdropping even suggests that José Anigo would make them dangle a part of the future commission.

But in exchange for what?

Revenge for the death of his son Adrien, linked to the Capelette gang before being the victim of a settling of scores in 2013?

A police hypothesis not confirmed at this stage and strongly contested by José Anigo, who was nevertheless indicted in early October, left free under judicial control.

At the confluence of football and organized crime, this typically Marseilles affair does not end there.

She indeed seems to have magnetized Michel Campanella, presented as the godfather of the Phocaean city.

Campanella is suspected of having participated in the attempted extortion of Christian B., in connection with the thugs of La Capelette.

No extortion in the eyes of his lawyer

Following his imprisonment last June in another case, he would have been assisted by Jean-Luc Barresi, a players' agent installed in Dubai for three years and formerly stuck in organized crime.

Indicted in this case and remanded in custody, Barresi, 60, is now fighting to get out of prison.

His lawyer, David-Olivier Kaminski, filed a request for annulment of the indictment which will be examined this Wednesday by the Aix-en-Provence investigation chamber.

Me Kaminski first points to the alleged irregularity of an investigative act.

According to him, the Marseille prosecutor's office would have backdated a request for an extension of the sound system in the apartment occupied by one of the suspects.

This technicality could lead to the cancellation of all the minutes taken from these tapping from April.

Barresi's counsel also underlines the absence, in his view, of elements materializing the extortion.

According to his line of defense, Jean-Luc Barresi would only have presented himself to Christian B. to offer him an amicable agreement with a representative of the Capelette band.

On the back of their goose that lays golden eggs, Isaac Lihadji.
