Manor Solomon has a sixth sense for big games, otherwise how can one explain the fact that the 21-year-old Israeli has already scored two goals and two victories in the Champions League against Real Madrid, all in just two meetings against them.
A tremendous balance, no less.
Yesterday it happened in the 82nd minute when Solomon who came off the bench finished a great outburst with a new kick to the net by Thibaut Courtois that set a huge 0: 2 to Shakhtar Donetsk, and around the world cheer for the young star.
The Spanish "As" identified with Real Madrid wrote that "Solomon completed the victory and left the Spaniards in utter shock after an impressive solo and an accurate kick to the corner of the rest. He did not have to be on the pitch long to make his mark."
While in "Marca" they added: "Shakhtar's sweeping outburst in front of Real's sinister defense, Solomon kicked and subdued Courtois and dominated the game."
"In sports" the Catalan wrote: "Real were busy with equality, but then Solomon arrived - caught the unprepared whites, surprised Courtois and left Madrid frozen."
Even the American ESPN referred to Solomon and wrote that "the Israeli striker secured the victory with a gallop and a solo operation that complicated Real Madrid."
