Lionel Messi is punished for his homage to the late Diego Maradona - but not too harshly.
The disciplinary committee of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) announced that Messi had to pay a fine of 600 euros for taking off his jersey when celebrating the goal on Sunday.
FC Barcelona, Messi's club, is also punished and has to transfer 180 euros.
But Messi doesn't have to save for too long to pay off his sentence.
According to Football Leaks documents, Messi earns around 71 million euros a year in base salary, which means he would have earned the 600 euros in around four and a half minutes - including bonus payments even much faster.
Messi had taken off his Barça shirt after his goal in Barcelona's 4-0 win over CA Osasuna.
Below he showed the red and black Maradona jersey from his time with the Argentine club Newell's Old Boys - Messi's youth club.
Maradona played for the club in the city of Rosario between 1993 and the beginning of 1994.
A picture for Maradona
After the game, Messi posted a photo next to an older picture of Maradona in Newell's jersey and wrote: "Hasta siempre, Diego".
Maradona, who became world champion with Argentina in Mexico in 1986 with a 3-2 final victory over Germany, died on November 25 at the age of 60 in Tigre, north of Buenos Aires.
Messi's action was praised worldwide.
Spanish media had suspected that the yellow card would be canceled.
