Eduardo Camavinga, the young prodigy from Stade Rennais (18) signed up this Thursday with Stellar Group, one of the most powerful sports agencies in the United Kingdom.
Stellar manages the careers of several hundred sportsmen including footballers Gareth Bale (Tottenham), Saul Niguez (Altético de Madrid), Mason Mount (Chelsea) or the Frenchman Ibrahima Konaté (Leipzig).
Camavinga had broken up for a few weeks with his ex-agent Moussa Sissoko, and his father, who now manages his career, was in discussions with many courtiers including super-agents Pini Zahavi and Jorge Mendes.
But it was the English from Stellar Group who finally won the day.
This sprawling agency, headed by lawyer Jonathan Barnett, was acquired in October 2020 by IMC Partners, a large American entertainment agency that represents US stars like Beyoncé, Ellen DeGeneres, or Samuel L Jackson.
It is easy to imagine that Stellar Group had to pay a substantial entry ticket to obtain the signature of the young French football prodigy.
How easy it is to be convinced that the neo international (2 caps, 1 goal) opens the doors of British football a little more in the event of departure from Rennes.
A transfer that could take place next summer.
