French club Nice announced today the dismissal of its coach Patrick Vieira from his post due to poor club results in its past matches.
Nice club said in a statement carried by Russia Today that it “informed the board of directors after the meeting with Vieira following the end of the match against Bayern Leverkusen of Germany of the loss of its decision to put an end to cooperation between them,” indicating that the club assigned the task of supervising the team to Vieira’s Swiss assistant, Adrian Ursia.
Nice lost to Bayerleverkusen at home in the European League competition yesterday, to exit the European round. Nice was the seventh and then fifth in the first two seasons of Vieira at the head of the technical staff, but he is currently ranked eleventh in the French League.
