Al-Majd team defeated its host Al Shuala 1-0 in the match that brought them together today on the industrial stadium in Daraa in the third round of the First Division Football League.
Al-Majd Mohamed Akkad scored the goal in the 23rd minute of the match.
Al-Shuala assistant coach Walid Al-Ali said in a statement to SANA: “The match was strong and the two teams exchanged attacks, and Al-Majd dominated the first half, while Al-Shuala was able to reach the opponent's area more than once in the second half.
He added that the referee's decision to cancel a penalty kick for Al-Sha`la at the end of the match deprived the club of the equalizer, stressing that Al-Torch's performance was good compared to the limited preparations, the absence of some players, and the injury of others.
In its last match, Al Shula defeated Jaramana with two goals to one.
