Ola Ghaith Bilal is a promising champion and a coming talent in the game of chess. She was able to achieve advanced positions and bright medals in the Republic Championships, the National Olympics and the International Future Prospects tournament that was held via the Internet.
In an interview with the sports newsletter, Bilal revealed that she was born in 2005 and loved the game of chess since she was young because it is one of the mental games that depend on reason and intelligence and develops in the human patience, the ability to plan, farsightedness and enlightened insight, explaining that the encouragement of her people was an incentive for her to enroll in the training center in the chess hall Al-Basel Stadium.
Bilal said, "I started playing the game four years ago under the supervision of coach Taiser Ahmed, who is credited with teaching me moving stones and establishing a good base for the game by organizing local refresher tournaments at the governorate level to develop the level of players and players in the training center," adding that she succeeded in developing herself through Taking advantage of the Internet and with the help of coach Jaafar Issa, who continued her training, and in her first participation in the Republic Championship in 2018, she managed to win the silver of the U-12 category.
Bilal explained that she participated with the Latakia national team and was the only one in the female category with him and proved her presence strongly in the National Olympiad last year and was able to grab the gold medal in the U-14 category, which helped the team win first place at the time, revealing that stopping tournaments and sports activities due to the Corona pandemic was not an obstacle. Her practice of chess at her home under the supervision of coach Hamdan Mahfoud, according to a specific training program that does not at all conflict with her studies.
Bilal added that her joy was great this year after winning the first place in the Future Horizons Open Chess Championship that took place over the Internet, in which players from the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Syria, and the Silver Five of the Golan Open Chess Championship, despite her participation with the players of the higher category under 16. Year and first place in school championships for several consecutive years.
Bilal indicated that her ambition began to grow little by little by joining the ranks of the national team and representing him in foreign entitlements, in addition to scientific excellence and obtaining high marks that would enable her to study human medicine because she loves this human profession.
In turn, coach Tayseer Ahmed revealed that the player, Ola, is from a sports family, and her two brothers, the older and younger, are the Republic's champions in chess.
