VfL Wolfsburg remains undefeated this Bundesliga season and has even set a club record for the championship team from 2009 with two goals from Wout Weghorst.

The 2: 1 (0: 0) victory against Eintracht Frankfurt was the eleventh game in a row that the Wolves were without defeat on Friday evening.

So far, Wolfsburg has only managed such a series in the championship season 2008/2009 and 2014/15, when the team won the cup.

Now the Wolfsburg are traveling confidently to the duel against FC Bayern on Wednesday.

“It's going to be a great game.

We want to go to Munich with a big chest and see what's going, ”said Ridle Baku at Dazn.

The first two hits came from penalty kicks.

According to video evidence, the ex-Wolfsburg Bas Dost first converted a penalty kick caused by John Anthony Brooks (63rd).

13 minutes later Weghorst was successful for the first time with a hand penalty, it was the Dutchman's eighth goal of the season.

In the 88th minute, Weghorst hit the winning goal from an acute angle.

“I'm really pissed off,” said Frankfurt defense chief Martin Hinteregger at Dazn: “We're giving two goals for free.

Normally it's a game after which you go home with a 1-0.

But unfortunately two small mistakes are decisive. "

Wolfsburg turns the game

Wolfsburg set the tone, especially in the first half.

After nine minutes, Xaver Schlager hit the post with a deflected shot.

Frankfurt goalkeeper Kevin Trapp was on hand for a Kevin Mbabu header.

Without the striker André Silva, who was paused due to muscular problems, the Eintracht offensive was initially ineffective.

Dost was inconspicuous against his previous club for a long time and VfL coverage was secure.

Frankfurt coach Adi Hütter was visibly dissatisfied with the course of the game and repeatedly urged his team to be more active.

After changing sides, the picture changed significantly.

The guests were now noticeably bolder.

In the 55th minute Filip Kostic missed the possible lead.

In the period that followed, the Wolfsburg Gate was increasingly in danger.

After the deficit, the VfL actions became more hectic and erratic.

Glasner responded and replaced Josip Brekalo with Bartosz Bialek.

Six minutes later, the equalizer actually fell.

In the end, Weghorst also used his last opportunity to score the winner.
