It is very easy to put your finger on the main reason, or rather two reasons, thanks to which Tottenham come tonight to the game of the season against Liverpool from first place in the table.

In other words, he needs Pierre-Emil Hoyberg. 

The need for the 25-year-old Danish midfielder was the first thing Mourinho introduced to Tottenham's management when the summer transfer window opened.

"Sometimes people think a good player is the one who makes heels," Mourinho said when asked about the Dane, "but to me simplicity is genius, and he does it all in a very simple way." 

And really, the complicated things Tottenham and the Portuguese manager leave to the two attacking stars, who never cease to amaze and conquer.
