Brazilian Santos qualified to the semi-finals of the Copa Libertadores football tournament today, by beating his compatriot Gremio by four goals to one in the second leg of the quarter-finals.
For Santos, striker Caio Georgi scored in the 1 and 54 minutes, Marinho in the 16th minute, and Iercio in the 83rd minute, while Gremio scored the only goal by Takeiano in the 81st minute of the match.
This is the first time that Santos has qualified for the semi-finals in eight years, where he will face the winner from a meeting between Boca Juniors and Racing Argentina.
