Felix Neureuther is always up for fun.
In order to simulate the jumps on the famous ski slope in Val Gardena, the ex-ski star went among the ski jumpers.
Munich -
Felix Neureuther as a ski jumper
!
The former ski star caused a stir with a special campaign to get in the mood for the upcoming World Cup in Val Gardena.
The slope there has several jumps up its sleeve for winter sports athletes.
In a video for Bayerischer Rundfunk, Neureuther ponders out loud what is the best way to prepare for
Val Gardena
.
"Ah!
Now I know ”, he then says - in the next picture you can already see Neureuther's“ Heimschanze ”, the Olympic hill in Garmisch.
The ex-ski ace comes from
Garmisch-Patenkirchen
.
Neureuther ponders: “Camel hump ... Ciaslat meadow .... jumps between 60 and 80 meters.
The air level is five to six meters. ”Of course, the hill in Garmisch - traditionally the hill for the New Year's event at the Four Hills Tournament - comes to mind.
Neureuther also simulates the infamous Ciaslat meadow
"Now let's see how the camel's hump feels ... let's go!" Calls Neureuther before jumping off.
“You mustn't miss the jump ... bang!
And in Val Gardena, after the camel hump it goes straight to the Ciaslat. ”He then simulates that.
He stands on a rocking wooden ramp and ties his eyes shut.
“It gets really wild there.
The athletes don't see where it's going because the humps are so high.
You practically jump into nowhere
.
You have to intuitively see exactly where the humps are.
It's a balancing act. ”To simulate this, he lets himself be thrown with balls.
“Keeping your balance, full on it, no matter what,” says Neureuther.
"Whoever does it best will be the winner."
