The player of the Governorate club and the national team, Fatima Al Zahraa Murad, continued her brilliance in the game of chess, winning the title of the Republic Championship, which concluded her competitions yesterday at Al-Fayhaa Hall, confirming her worth in the game after achieving the title that she has consistently maintained since her inception in the game.

At the age of five, she started playing the game under the supervision of her father, coach Mohsen Murad, who honed her talent from the start and made a great effort to get her to the coronation podiums. This is what Murad started with her talk to the sports newsletter "Sana".

Murad said .. “My first official participation started with the 8-year category and achieved its title for three consecutive seasons, being the youngest of the participants, and then kept the title so far, pointing out that she won the championship two days ago on merit and deservedly and settled the rounds before it ended,” indicating that she aspires to reach Global podiums because they see that they are able to do so if they have the necessary capabilities.

Murad added ... that her distinguished results qualified her to join the national team four years ago, and she had Arab, Asian and international contributions, most notably the gold medal in Tunisia with the full mark in 2010 and the silver of the Arab championships in Damascus and Yemen in 2009 and 2012 respectively, pointing out that she achieved the position. Ninth in the 14-year-old Asian Championship in Uzbekistan in 2017, and she also ranked 27 out of 200 in the World Championships for age groups in Turkey.

The father of the player Mohsen Murad explained that Fatima grew up in a sports family, as in addition to being a chess trainer and head of the technical committee for 15 years, he is a coach and football player at the Al-Waqha Club in Deir Al-Zour, and her brother Muhammad is a Syrian national handball player, indicating that he started supervising his daughter's training since she was Five years later, he noticed her passion and understanding of the game's movements and plans to launch her career.

Mohsen added that Fatima joined the governorate club in Damascus, and that she was trained by Talal Al-Zaeem with home follow-up by him, which greatly contributed to the development of her talent and technical level, pointing out that his daughter is qualified to achieve a global achievement if the appropriate moral and material conditions are available to her.

It is noteworthy that Fatima Al Zahraa Murad achieved first place in the Republic Championship, surpassing Manar Khalil, second place, and Naya Abu Faroud, third place, knowing that ten players were participating in the final round of the tournament.
