Danny Abdia hoped for a slightly different home premiere early Sunday morning, but the Israeli rookie will have to face the fact that life in the best league in the world will not always be easy for him.

Abdia, who like the loss to Philadelphia on Wednesday night again opened with a five from Steve Brooks, this time got just 15 minutes in a 130: 120 loss to Orlando, after already in the first quarter got into an offense problem, finishing the tackle with 5 points, 3 rebounds and two assists.

Brooks, who chose to make the top five with Westbrook, Bill, Bonga, Thomas Bryant and Abdia, received a first two-pointer from the Israeli after only a minute and ten seconds during an impressive basket and foul (Danny missed the bonus), but after three and a half minutes, two quick fouls were committed. And he was soon forced down to the bench.

Also in the opening of the second quarter, which Danny opened 50 seconds later, Gordon squeezed out a borderline third offense, and Abdia had to watch from the bench with his teammates until the end of the first half.

In the decisive quarter, Abdia did stitch a three that narrowed the difference to 118: 113, and in fact the Israeli rookie again maintained a perfect percentage from the field (2 of 2).

As in the opening game, this time too Washington got into a close game (99:99, 39 minutes), but eight minutes to go, the Wizards allowed the Magic to escape.

Washington’s home loss was recorded despite a typical Bradley Bill offensive evening that included 39 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists.

Russell Westbrook finished with 15 points on 6 of 19 from the field, 15 rebounds and 12 assists.

Orlando was led by Terence Ross with 25 points, Nikola Wojciech with 22 and 17 rebounds, and Merkel Poltz finished with 21 points.

Already tonight, the two teams will meet again, a good time to allocate improvements for Danny Abdia.
